The Division of Women's Health in Emergency Medicine

About Us

As the first Division of Women's Health in Emergency Medicine in the  United States, we have big goals. We aim to address the healthcare disparities facing women and girls in Emergency Departments through cutting-edge research on gendered healthcare disparities, comprehensive education of our faculty and staff in best practices, and performance and quality improvement projects in our departments and hospital system. Our mission also includes local, regional and national advocacy for women’s health.

Meet Our Team

With support from the Katz Institute for Women’s Health, Dr. Army is spearheading a novel miscarriage management initiative using manual vacuum aspiration in the ED.
